Evan's been playing basketball for the last couple months. He loves it. He has a lot of fun. I'm not sure how much he is actually learning because he's still in the age of no steals and no calling travel or double dribbling. But he's having fun and that's all that matters, right?

I have to respectfully disagree. That's not all that matters. Case and point. On Saturday Evan's team got beat by like 40 points because they had no idea what to do with a basketball. But at least they didn't know because no score was kept. There is no coaching and no rules, which equates to no learning and no progress.
