sick, sick, sick

We've all had a turn being sick this week.  It started with Ben last Saturday, then Sara on Monday thru Wednesday, me on thursday, Miles on Friday, now Kamri yesterday and today.  Let's hope it passes Evan and we will be DONE with this soon.  It's been a really long week and a half.  I'm exhausted.

visit from Kim...

Kim and Hollan and Addison were in town this week and came to church with us and then spent some time at our house afterward.  They brought the kids some cool bubble wands and some balls.

They were very helpful.  Hollan helped me make lunch and Addison did my sinkful of dishes.
We love it when they come visit.

Addison and Hollan have a soccer camp at BYU so Kim is left by herself all day.  So the following Monday we drove down to Provo and had dinner with Kim and then went swimming at their hotel pool.

He's Seven....

My boy is seven-years-old!!  He was so excited for his birthday and excited that next year he gets to be baptized.  He's a ball of energy and loves to dance and jump and jump and run and jump. He makes me tired just watching him.  But he also has the sweetest heart and loves to give hugs and will still cuddle.  We love you bud!

He woke up to a new bike in the living room.  He had totally outgrown his old one and was riding with bent legs almost up to his chest.

 He's our little clown
He loves his remote control hummer from Grandma and Grandpa.

We need to practice on his candle-blowing skills.  He couldn't blow them out.  We had to help him.

baseball

Evan started baseball last night.  It's so cute to watch the kids try to figure out exactly what they're supposed to be doing.  When he saw how many people were there to watch he got a little nervous and didn't want to play.  But he ended up having a great time and even had an awesome hit over the kids in the right field (who were standing right up next to 1st base).  Great job bud!!

Weekend camping trip to Heber Valley Camp.

I didn't pull my camera out much.  I was enjoying it, but here are a few pictures I did take.

Trash day

It's the kids' job to take trash out on Wednesday mornings.  When they cooperate and work together to do it, it's so nice.

(I think he fell right after I snapped this one.)

So sweet

Our kids love to write notes, especially Sara.  Ben got a new calling on Sunday.  He is now 2nd counselor in the bishopric. This will make Sacrament meeting with Miles very interesting.  This is the sweet note Sara wrote to him that day...

Congratulations! You are going to  be a wonderful 2nd counselor in the Bishopric.  May the Lord bless you when you have this calling!  I realize I am going to have to be a great help to mom. (with the kids)  I want you to know that I'm very grateful you got this calling.  I LOVE YOU!!

Your daughter,
Sara

Attached to it was another smaller note that had a 5 dollar bill attached to it just for being a great father...

I want to give this to you for being such a great father.  I love you!  Sara  P.S. Use this for anything you want.  KEEP IT!

They've tried to give us money before but we always make them keep it and "pay" us in other ways (i.e. being nice to eachother).  But her note was adament he keep it.  He decided to keep it and use it to take her on a date.

It was such a sweet thing to do.

(Sidenote:  What do you say when someone gets a new calling?  Congratulations sounds like you got something you've been working for or wanting.  But what else is there?)
