First day of school 2012

They were so, so excited for school to start!!

I took Sara to the fabric store and she picked out this fabric so I could make her a shirt for the first day of school to go with her new blue (and an orange pair) pair of skinny capris

She didn't want me take this picture because she didn't want people to see how she was shorter than him.

The school got air conditioning so they had them enter the school on the first day of school on a red carpet to celebrate and give high fives to the teachers

Our traditional first day of school cookie pizza and waiting for them to come home

You know my kids have Lombardi blood in them when....

A.   Her teacher tells the class they only have to do a few of the problems on the math worksheet and she raises her hand to ask if she can do all of them :)

B.   She cries when school is out for the summer

C.   She looks forward to homework

D.  All of the above

Heber Valley 2012

Our second (annual?) extended family trip to Heber Valley Camp - gotta love those planks you get to sleep on.

Koy's training for the Tough Mudder so a big group of us (me not included) did his morning conditioning training with him.  Sara joined in for the whole 50 minutes (I think) and Kamri joined for a very little bit.

this little one loved the hiking backpack - nothing better than being that close to daddy.

   Goof

I am loving the freckles sprinkling her nose and cheeks - so so cute!!

NO BONFIRES.  So we had a coal fire instead.  We had to have our roasted marshmallows and smores.

The women were sitting around talking one morning and I have been wanting to try this hairstyle on someone .  I needed someone with long hair and it would be pretty tricky to do on myself so I made Trina let me do it on her.  Isn't it beautiful!  She made me take it out after because it wasn't "comfortable" enough for camping. Whatever ;)

The little kids' challenge course.

Miles is sooo good at expressing his happiness.  When he's having fun you can tell.  Look at that grin!!

Lower course challenges

Apparently we didn't do a good enough job with the sunscreen on Asia.  Although I think this picture makes it look worse than it actually was.

swimming lessons

For two weeks I took the kids to swimming lessons every morning.  They're getting good!  Kamri and Miles aren't afraid to go under the water and Sara and Evan can totally jump off the diving board and swim to the side unassisted.  Looks like it was a successful two week course.

Asia did awesome considering she just had to sit on the side lines in her stroller for an hour each morning.  She just smiled and clapped the whole time.

After I would let them sit outside for a little bit to warm up in the sun.
