New, fun fine motor activity

What a simple activity and one that even my older kids had fun with for hours.  Sorting pom-poms into an ice cube tray using small, wooden tongs.

Look at that tongue.  He's concentrating hard!

Happy Birthday, Evan!

Nine-years-old!

Look at that smile.  I don't know where he came from, but he is so into the Miami Heat right now!  He wanted everything Miami Heat this year - cake, wrist/head bands, and vinyl decals for his car.  There's no persuading him over to the Celtics.

Kim's family came over Sunday morning to give him his present (this basketball).  they were going to stay for dinner but they had to head back to Washington.  But we got to have Grandma Arkell, Pace, Misti, Cameo, Jeremy, and Logan over to celebrate.

Love this kid!

Not summer without the sprinkler

favorite skirts

Maxi yoga band skirts.  My new favorite skirts to make and wear.  Sooooo comfy and so easy!

Too big

I dare you to look at these pictures and not smile.

For some reason she thought it was super fun to cram her shoe into a sandwich bag.  It took a little while and totally kept her occupied.

Just barely, but long enough for pigtails.  I didn't like them at all, they made her look too old.  But she sure did look cute!

We let her water the grass and she was in heaven.  Just stood there with her hand in the water and every once in a while tried to take a drink and got a nose-ful instead and totally soaked her dress.  We just sat and laughed. We noticed people driving by and just smiling at her.  I'm glad we could make their day!

Cute kids!

He found my Dad's hat somewhere.  My parents were pretty proud!

She's growin' up

Since the older kids get to make breakfast all by themselves often Kamri thought it was only fair that I let her do the same.  So, she made waffles ALL BY HERSELF (with only minimal supervision from me on the sidelines).  They tasted great and there wasn't much of a mess either.  She was so proud of herself and happy to get to be a "big kid".
