Backyard Pool...

Some neighbor friends gave us one of their old kiddie pools.  Even though it is way too small for the older ones, they still had a blast.  We shoudl have gotten one of these like 6 years ago.

Happy Birthday, Sara!!

She's nine-years-old!  Crazy!!!

I can't believe she is already nine.  I remember I was so scared when I was pregnant with her.  I was terrified I'd do everything wrong.  But now I have a beautiful girl who is so caring and sweet and eager to help out.
There are days when she is my life saver.  Happy Birthday, Sara.  We love you!

She opened our shed to get her bike out and she found a new one.

I was surprised, but she wanted a cake with yellow and pink roses.

Kim and Mike's family sent her this beautiful Edible Arrangements gift.  It was fun getting this kind of delivery at the door.

Splash Park...

A park near us has a splash park at one of the playgrounds.  I decided to actually do something fun with the kids since summer is almost over so we went there - the best part is it's free.

Messy updo

My little sister was a bridesmaid at a wedding last week and she asked me to do her hair.  She wanted a messy updo.  Those are fun since you don't get to wear them very often.  I did a twist around her head and brought it to a bun on the side that was kind of a mix between formal and messy.  It took me about 10 minutes to do.  Which sounds much better than the 1 - 2 hours I spent in high school to get my hair done for dances.  I did it kind of loose so it would look more messy so I was afraid it would fall out before the night was over.  But it didn't and she even slept on it and wore it to work the next day.

Gotta love it...

Really not the best picture, but Ben snapped this and I thought it was awesome.  Sara wanted to rub my feet one night and who was I to complain.  Then Ben gave Kamri some grapes to feed me.
I wish this was what life was really like.

I've been trying to have Sara help out a little bit and learn how to cook and do stuff around the kitchen.  She can make pancakes (from scratch) all by herself.
