Tummy Time

She doesn't usually mind tummy time (or anything else for that matter) so she is usually just laying there sucking on her hand.

I'll just say it again - she's just so sweet!

Just some cute family pictures.

 Kamri and mini-Kamri (aka Asia)
(Ben printed out a picture of Kamri when she was a newborn and I honestly thougth it was Asia.  They could have been twins.)

I love when their hands are around their face - so sweet!
 She loves her daddy.

want a good laugh?

If anyone would like a nice, hard laugh, you are welcome to come sit in our Sacrament Meeting next week and watch me try to keep a sleeping baby asleep and a 2-year-old from screaming when he wants no one but his mom and dad.  Oh yeah, and the other 3 are there, too.  All while my wonderful husband sits helplessly looking on from the stand and actually gets to hear more than two words that are being said.  I promise - you'll get a good laugh.

Today was my first week sitting in Sacrament Meeting with the kids since Asia was born.  I had to hand Asia off  to Sara and leave with Miles because he is two and was throwing a fit.  Then I had to take Asia out to change her diaper and try to get her to sleep.  Miles didn't like that so he ran out after me and Sara had to chase after him and make sure he got to me.  And then when we got back into the chapel I had to make sure no one did anything Miles didn't like so he wouldn't start yelling.  And keep Miles from wiggling under the benches to the one behind us and keep him from running away when he made out into the aisle. And, I actually wanted to bear my testimony today but didn't get to because of it all.  Let's be honest, I left in tears.

Thank goodness for Sara.  And for Sis. Young who sits with us each week and totally understands (she had 10 kids and her husband was never able to sit with them during church).  She keeps Kamri entertained and the older two are pretty good at just sitting there and listening.  Sara turned to me during Sacrament Meeting today and said, "What would you do without me?"  I honestly don't know.

I know I'll figure this all out.  But today was hard.  Maybe I'll be sick next week ;)

Well, that was kind of a bummer.  I'll leave you on a high note:
She sure did look cute today.  This was the first time she wore anything other than a sleep 'n' play (basically pajamas). There's just something so cute about  a little baby in a dress.

Mmmmm, popcorn and a movie.

 Beautiful baby

Bear World

September 30, 2011

I saw a blog a couple weeks ago where they went to Yellowstone Bear World.  I thought the kids, and Ben, would love it so I put it in the back of my mind to go there sometime - hopefully sooner than later.

Well, last Wednesday I decided I needed a timeout from my normal, every day life.  The kids didn't have school on Friday so I suggested Ben take Friday off and we go on a mini day trip to see the bears.  He was all for it so we headed up there on Friday.  We didn't tell the kids where we were going until we were in the car on our way there.  We left in the morning and got back that same night.  It was a lot of driving but really not bad.

It was well worth it.  The kids were sooooo excited and will tell anyone who will listen all about it.

 We saw bison.
and lots of grizzly and black bears.  They were literally right outside our window as we drove through.

The place even had free kids rides near the gift shop.

bear cubs
 and a petting zoo

this is what Asia did the WHOLE day - in and out of the car

And this is why I don't like animals.  You never know what they are going to do.  A fawn wanted more food and was pawing at Evan to get some and totally scraped him.  he wanted to leave after that and didn't go back in.  I think he was more frightened than hurt, but it was a large scrape.

We rode on teh feeding truck so we could feed the bears.  That was cool!

It was a awesome day together.  The best part was there was absolutely no fighting and no schedule to meet.  Just great family time.

One-month old

Wow!  She's already one-month old today.  She is such a sweet, beautiful baby.  She's so good to us.  She's an awesome sleeper and hardly ever cries.  She smiled at me for the first time on Sunday.  It was so sweet. I'm so attached to her.  Seriously.  I hate to leave her and I even have a hard time giving her up for Ben to hold.  She's just too cute!!

I wish I had started doing this when she was just born so we could see her growth in the last month because it's been a lot.  But I'm going to take a picture of her each month next to this bear to see how much she's grown.

I was hoping it would be a better picture and get a better comparison, but here she is in her car seat today.....
