Let the countdown begin..

Sorry, another picture of me. This is me last Tuesday (about 5 days ago) at 36 weeks. Now I have about 3 weeks left and I am getting anxious. In the last week I feel like I have just popped out - more so than I remember with the other kids. Even maternity shirts don't seem to cover me and pants WILL NOT stay up. They slide right down. Consequently you can see me in my pajamas at any given moment (when I'm at home). I deal with it as much as I can when I leave the house.

As for the baby. He's still kickin' around. There's not a whole lot of room in there for him so he just kicks out and leaves it there. It's kind of cool to feel him move back when I press my hand against him.

Sara was 3 weeks early and the last two were both 11 days early. That makes it really hard to not get my hopes up that he will come early, too. I try not to, but let's hope you hear back from me in a week or so with news of his arrival. Hopefully we'll have figured out a name by then.

He's gaining on her

Evan is two years younger than Sara, but already he's caught up to her. He weighs more than she does and has only an inch or so to go before he is as tall/taller than her. I have been asked before if they're twins. By looking at their baby pictures you would think so. It makes me wonder what this next baby is going to look like. Probably another strawberry-blonde with blue eyes. But I must say the look is kind of cute.

Kamri wanted to join in the fun. She's got a ways to go.

Easter...

I didn't take my camera to our Easter festivities. But here are some random things we did to get ready for Easter.

My mom made these cute Bunny chair covers for the kids. They thought they were adorable.

Each year we make our Easter baskets out of paper. Yes, it's cheap but the kids love it, it gives us a project to do, and I don't have to worry about storing anything else in my already full-to-the-brim home. These are disposable Easter baskets - the best kind. Here the kids are coloring and decorating the inside (they already decorated the outside before it got turned into a basket).
See, they're so proud of their work.

So pretty

Last Thursday my aunt was in town. She is a master quilter so I spent the day at my mom's house so she could teach me how to finish the quilt I started a couple months ago for baby boy. (It turned out so cute, I will post a picture of that later). Anyway, when I came home this is what I found on my table. Some beautiful flowers and some grapefruit juice from Ben. The bouquet was BEAUTIFUL.

Juicing

Over a month ago Ben surprised me with the purchase of a juicer. For those of you who know me, you know I really DO NOT like vegetables. I will eat a few of them (carrots, corn, and green beans) but I do not enjoy doing it and don't eat them nearly as often as I should. So, Ben decided to get a juicer so we can mix them up a little bit with fruit. Well, it came in the mail about a week ago and we have been able to try a few recipes. The first one we tried was mango, kiwi, and carrots. It was delicious. Next we juiced some oranges for breakfast. That was really good, too. It was kind of thick which I liked but Sara had a hard time with. We then tried a strawberrie, apples, and carrots recipe. That was also really good. So, I liked the first three recipes. The fourth one we tried was carrots and celery. It actually wasn't that bad but still not something I liked so we mixed an apple in with it and it made it much better.

I guess even juiced I will have a hard time with vegetables unless their mixed with some type of fruit. But even then I will hopefully be able to get more vegetables in my diet.

Fresh orange juice - YUMMMMMM!!!

Family Exercise

Last Saturday (when the weather was actually nice) we took the kids to Sugarhouse Park to walk around and play. It was really an excuse for me to get some exercise and use my new Sit'n'Stand stroller. So we headed out. The kids thought it was so fun. Sara did amazing. She walked/ran the whole way around (1.2 miles I think) and was so proud of her self. She even woke up the next morning with sore legs. Evan sat in the stroller most of the time. I made him get out to walk up the hills because the stroller was too heavy for me to push it up those hills with him in it. (Those of you who have been to this park can attest to the steepness of the hills). But he did get out and run with Sara for the last little bit and was so proud of himself for that. Bem walked around dribbling a basketball and Kamri stayed in the stroller living the sweet life.

After we walked around once the kids and Ben stayed at the playground while I walked around a little more.

It was wonderful morning and felt really good to get out. We went at the perfect time. We were ready to go just as everyone else coming.

32 weeks and counting

This is me now. I feel like I'm HUGE!! I can't bend or walk up the stairs without losing my breath. I'm ready to meet this little guy and I still have 8 weeks to go. But, I must say I feel so much better this pregnancy than the other ones. I don't have back pain. My sciatic (sp?) nerve doesn't bother me. I don't wake up with charly horses every night and I still played basketball the whole season and regions (which ended this week). So, I can't complain too much. He moves around a lot and I get to SEE him doing somersaults in there. I'll see my stomach lurch every now and then and it is amazing. I never get tired of that.
