Six-months-old

I'm sorry, but I think she has got to be one of the cutest things in the world and I can't believe she is already six months!

She loves to laugh and chew on her toes.  I was trying so hard to get a picture of her eating her toes but every time I pulled the camera out she would let go of her feet and stare at me.

Funny Girl

Evan and Kamri were sitting at the counter drawing and coloring pictures.  All of a sudden she was yelling at Miles, "Don't draw on my picture!"  Miles was on the other side of the counter not even close to her.  I told her to not yell at him.  She replied, "But he's looking at me and he's happy!" (He always gets this smirk on his face when he's about to do something he knows he shouldn't.)  I just thought it sounded funny.  Next time someone's looking at you and smiling he/she must be about to do something to you.

They're off...

My parents got off today !  They spend the next week in the MTC and then next Monday they're off for a huge adventure in Swaziland, Africa.  They looked so excited this morning when we were saying good bye.

She's growing....

She can sit now!  She's still learning but is getting better.  When I try to put her down in her bouncer she pops up to sit.  And look at those eyes.  Lovely!!

We gave her food last night.  She didn't seem to mind it much but didn't really like it either.  But it did help her sleep better.

We've moved....

Well, we moved.  We are house sitting for my parents while they serve a full-time mission in South Africa/Swaziland.  For Ben and I it was mostly just sweet, but for the kids it was bittersweet.  They loved their school and their friends and it was the only place they'd every really known.  But they were excited to have more room, be able to run around, play the piano whenever they wanted, and get to sleep in segregated rooms.

With the move came the end of preschool for Kamri.  It was free where we lived and now it's not so we are just going to do some things at home.  Her last day at school they gave her this folder with all her papers and her placemat.  She was so excited and carried that folder around for three days.

Sara and Evan get to go to the elementary school I went to.  They went to school really nervous and wanting to just come home. They came home from school so excited and loving their new school.

They also had to help me clean for our move.  They actually like washing the walls so that is the chore I gave them.

Like I said they are excited to have segregated boys/girls rooms. Miles noved from a crib to a "big boy bed". It was a surprisingly easy transition.

So, we are leaving our ward and moving into my parents' home for a little while.  Our kids have become substitute grandkids for some in the ward and sweet friends to others.  They love to go visit the widows and older people of the ward and have brought so much joy to so many.  So on Monday we made this cute picture and delivered to those special friends. It was so fun to see the joy in peoples' faces when they got it and the kids were so excited to give them

baby cereal

We tried feeding her cereal on Tuesday.  She does not like it, but it helps her sleep a little bit longer I think so we'll keep trying.
