Home Depot does this cool free Kid's Workshop every first Saturday of the month. (They have a sign up in the store beforehand.) We've known about it, but haven't ever gone. Ben decided to take them this last month. He and the kids had a lot of fun and are looking forward to next month. Sara dropped a hammer on her toe but thank goodness it wasn't too bad.
They get these cute orange aprons to wear and a pin representing each project they build. Such a great program.
After they got home I got some of my paints out and they spent about an hour painting their creations. It was a bit of a mess, but anything that gives them something to do for an hour and if the cleanup isn't too bad, I'm game for it. They took the painting very seriously. They are so proud of their projects.

Sara wanted polka dots on her chair so we pulled out the marshmallows. The make great polka dots once you get the hang of it.
Ben even got in on the painting action. He found a little wood block in our backyard and painted with them

How fun! We go to that activity almost every month. Logan loves it, and as soon as Luke is old enough to handle a real hammer, he'll probably like it too. We are looking forward to seeing you and Ben soon. Too bad the kids aren't coming, that would be a lot of fun.
