Since the beginning of school Sara has had the chance to participate in the NOVA program. NOVA stands for , Opportunities, Values, and Accountability. Officer Martin came in once a week to teach them about values and choices and accountability and such. Last week they had a graduation. One fo the last things she was supposed to do was write a personal constitution. A short paper and what she has learned and how it will help her pursue her goals and how it will help her in the future. Her paper was picked to be read at the graduation. She was (and still is two weeks later) getting over a sore throat and hoarse voice so she asked a friend from her class to read it for her. She got a certificate for graduation and a cool little pin for having her paper picked.
